Avante Art Partners with Yuga Labs to Offer Physical Prints of CryptoPunks NFTs

Algoine News
Summary:
CryptoPunk NFT owners can now order physical prints of their digital art through a partnership between Avante Art and Yuga Labs. Two collections are available: "Punk-On-Chain", which offers prints to confirmed digital Punk owners, and "10,000 On-Chain", a print collection of all CryptoPunks open for purchase by anyone. The prints are authenticated by a Yuga Labs holographic sticker and come with a blockchain-verified Certificate of Authenticity.
CryptoPunk non-fungible token (NFT) owners now have an opportunity to acquire physical replicas of their digital art, as per an announcement made on October 26. This offering is a result of a collaborative effort between internet-based art marketplace, Avante Art and the proprietors of the CryptoPunks brand, Yuga Labs. The 48-hour offer commenced at 3:00 p.m. UTC on October 26 and will terminate at the same time two days later. There are two distinct versions of the physical CryptoPunks collection available through Avante Art. The inaugural iteration is dubbed "Punk-On-Chain", enabling every Punk proprietor to requisition a physical Punk-on-Chain replica of each digital Punk they possess. Notably, in order to commission these replicas, owners are required to affirm their ownership. Consequently, individuals without the digital equivalent are precluded from purchasing the printed version. Simultaneously, a second collection titled "10,000 On-Chain" is also available. This comprises print replicas of all CryptoPunks in existence, and is accessible to all individuals irrespective of ownership of the original digital versions. Each physically printed Punk, although part of two distinctive collections, can be identified through certain unique features. For instance, while the 10,000 On-Chain pieces are Archival pigment prints with a silkscreen varnish seal, their Punk-On-Chain counterparts are UV pigment prints with white backing. Additionally, all physical Punk copies are authenticated by a Yuga Labs holographic sticker. Punk-On-Chain items come with a QR code at the back leading to a block-chain hosted Digital Certificate of Authenticity (CoA). However, in the case of the 10,000 On-Chain pieces, this QR code, which leads to the Digital CoA, is included with the physical CoA and not on the actual print. ย  CryptoPunks, launched by Larva Labs in June 2017, was among the pioneer algorithm-driven art collections distributed via blockchain technology. Originally, these pieces were accessible free of charge to anyone within the Ethereum network wishing to mint them. Presently, the lowest-priced CryptoPunks command a price of around $78,000, and the whole collection boasts a market capitalization exceeding $782 million, based on Coingecko data. The rights for CryptoPunks were purchased by fellow NFT developers Yuga Labs from Larva Labs in March 2022.
