Square Enix Announces Auction Schedule for Symbiogenesis NFTs, Game Launch Set for Dec 21
Summary:
Square Enix, renowned for its Final Fantasy series, has revealed the auction schedule for its Symbiogenesis NFTs. The auctions will occur in three stages - the first round is solely for early investors, while the next two will welcome participants of an "allowlist entry campaign". During this campaign, collectors took part in quizzes and in-game activities to earn points and NFT "relics". Symbiogenesis, described as a "narrative-unlocked NFT entertainment" game, is set to launch on Dec 21.
Square Enix, the gaming firm behind Final Fantasy, has officially disclosed the auction timetable for its anticipated Symbiogenesis non-fungible tokens (NFTs). As per the Nov. 24 post on social media, Square Enix mentioned that the NFT sales will take place in three different rounds. The initial round will take place between Nov. 27-28, followed by the second round from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4, and finally the third from Dec. 2 to Dec. 3. The forthcoming blockchain game from Square Enix, Symbiogenesis, utilises Ethereum-based NFTs.
Based on data shared about the game, the opening phase will consist of facet and mesh personas, and will restrict participation to "stakeholders" only. This appears to indicate that the first round of auctions slated for Nov. 27 to Nov. 28 will exclusively be for early investors. The subsequent two rounds will be open to those who participated in an "allowlist entry campaign". The game’s team conducted this campaign from Nov. 7 to Nov. 21. Collectors were encouraged to partake in a series of quizzes and an in-game “treasure hunt”. By engaging in these activities, participants acquired NFT "relics" and accumulated points for the second phase. The 50 top scorers from these activities are eligible to procure NFTs in the second phase along with 40 other random participants who rank between 51st and 300th. The remaining players can place their bids in the third phase.
Symbiogenesis is described by Square Enix as a "narrative-unlocked NFT entertainment" game and its launch is slated for Dec. 21. Square Enix, also known for the Final Fantasy series, which it says has sold more than 173 million units, inaugurated Final Fantasy NFT trading cards on March 31. Moreover, in April, Square Enix announced a partnership with Web3 infrastructure provider Elixir, though further details have been limited.
