The updated models, GPT-3.5 and GPT-4, allow understanding of common spoken queries and can react in one of five different voice tones. This signifies that ChatGPT can now visualize, listen and verbally respond. Plus users can shortly enjoy voice chats with ChatGPT and have the ability to incorporate images in their conversations.
OpenAI explained in a blog entry that this new multimodal interface offers its users unique ways to interact with ChatGPT. Users could capture photos of landmarks during their travels and develop engaging discussions about them or consult suggestions for dinner based on images of their pantry and refrigerator. They can also assist their child in solving math problems by photographing the exercise and asking ChatGPT for clues.

This multi modal upgrading of ChatGPT comes on the back of DALL-E 3's launching - OpenAI's super advanced image creating system. DALL-E 3, according to OpenAI, also incorporates natural language processing which gives users the ability to talk to the model for fine tuning results and including ChatGPT for assistance in generating image prompts.
In more AI sector news, Amazon has partnered with OpenAI’s competitor, Anthropic, as per an announcement released on September 25. Amazon will reportedly invest approximately $4 billion for cloud services and hardware accessibility. Consequently, Anthropic will extend its support for Amazon's Bedrock AI model including safe model customization and businesses fine-tuning.
