Oasys Partners with AltLayer to Streamline Metaverse Development on Its Blockchain
Summary:
Blockchain firm Oasys has partnered with AltLayer to streamline the deployment of metaverses on its platform, using AltLayer's Rollup-as-a-Service feature. This move is targeted towards smaller game developers, making it easier to introduce their games on the blockchain. Oasys predicts growth in small to medium-sized creators and acknowledges the need for a simplified platform. Looking ahead to 2024, the company sees a depth of development in the blockchain gaming industry.
Blockchain firm Oasys, known for its gaming orientation, has partnered with rollup service AltLayer to make it easier for creators to deploy metaverses on the Oasys chain. The collaboration, announced on Tuesday, will utilize AltLayer's Rollup-as-a-Service feature to offer builders a more straightforward approach to launching blockchain-powered games and metaverses on Oasys.
Oasys made its network public in February 2022 with the purpose of expanding the popularity of play-to-earn (P2E) blockchain games. It prides itself on providing a "zero gas fee experience" and the ability to transfer assets between projects created on its platform. The establishment of this blockchain was led by notable figures in the game and crypto gaming sphere.
Daiki Moriyama, Director of Oasys, spoke to Cointelegraph, saying that this initiative is particularly attractive to smaller game developers seeking a more straightforward route to integrate their creations into the blockchain. Moriyama stated, "Well-established corporations like Bandai Namco might favor creating a completely tailored Verse on Oasys L2; however, smaller game creators might find it more accommodating to construct a casual Verse and introduce their games there."
Moriyama further posited that as the number of small to medium-sized creators is anticipated to grow, it's vital to supply a platform that simplifies the process of building a "Verse," defined as the second layer in Oasys' bifurcated architecture.
When quizzed about the possible future of blockchain gaming in 2024, Moriyama suggested several pivotal breakthroughs in the field. He believes the climate around blockchain gaming has "undeniably evolved," characterizing the industry as "denser" than last year.
Moriyama also emphasized the emergence of numerous blockchain-centric game marketing firms and the expansion of diverse enterprises into Web3 as a positive development in the Web3 gaming sector.
