The AI Alliance aims to form a decision-making board and a technical review committee with the express purpose of driving AI projects forward and establishing norms and regulations. In their pursuit for further advancement, the Alliance plans on working hand in hand with government entities, charities, and other nongovernmental organizations in the AI sector. Additionally, the AI Alliance intends to work alongside top academic and research institutions such as Cern, NASA, the Cleveland Clinic, Cornell University, Dartmouth, Imperial College London, UC Berkeley, the University of Illinois, the University of Notre Dame, the University of Tokyo, and Yale University. Meanwhile, prominent developers within the AI sphere like Microsoft, Google, OpenAI (creator of ChatGPT), and Anthropic (the firm behind Claude AI), have chosen to form their own group, The Frontier Forum, focusing on responsible AI development. Notably, in early 2023, the Biden Administration called upon these major players in the AI industry to commit to ethical AI advancement, with a number of them, including OpenAI, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Anthropic, Meta and Inflection, signing the agreement. Months later, NVIDIA, IBM, Scale AI, Adobe, Palantir, Salesforce and Stability AI came onboard as well.
