A counterfeit Blockworks portal promotes a deceptive "BREAKING" news story about a seeming multi-million dollar "approvals exploit" on the decentralized trading platform Uniswap. This counterfeit version then redirects users to a bogus Etherscan site to reverse approvals. The deceiving Blockworks site demonstrates a bogus breaking news item about a Uniswap exploit, in contrast to the official site. The simulated Etherscan site, claiming to offer a token and smart contract approval checker, actually includes a smart contract that would probably empty a cryptocurrency wallet once connected.
