Assuming the report by The Information is accurate, and xAI plans on constructing a supercomputer, the funding will most likely be employed to transform the 100,000 GPU cluster into an integrated supercomputer structure. Speaking at the VivaTech 2024 conference in Paris, Musk expressed his belief that xAI could surpass industry leaders like OpenAI and DeepMind Google by the close of 2024. Further, he stated that he anticipates an AI system that would outdo humans in every field by the end of 2025. Such a system, Musk commented, could potentially render humans redundant, leading us to ponder over the purpose of our life.
