This includes increasing transparency in IP address processing, broadening its range, and refining control over user data. "We occasionally process your IP address (subject to your MetaMask configurations) for specific services, aiming to provide a superior experience to MetaMask users. This aids in, for instance, the prevention of DDoS attacks." The updated privacy notice now embraces MetaMask Institutional, MetaMask Developer, Linea, Teku, Besu, and Phosphor, and incorporates new opt-out capabilities for privacy-focused users. To limit the gathering of device and usage data further, users can resort to employing Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
