After two years of operating, the NFT-themed burger joint, Bored & Hungry LA is flipping its final burger. The Los Angeles-based restaurant, branded using a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT, has been sold to the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO), Hungry DAO. "As we bid farewell to the original Bored & Hungry location in Long Beach, CA, we are excited to announce that our brand has been acquired by the Hungry DAO," shared cofounder, Andy Nguyen. The team behind the brand is set to join Hungry DAO as shareholders and have plans to announce the brand’s upcoming location in the U.S. In other news, Ordz Games, a Bitcoin Ordinals-based gaming platform, unveiled at Hong Kong’s Web3 Gaming Expo, plans to sell a Bitcoin gaming console and crypto wallet. The console, which closely resembles a Game Boy, will reportedly be sold for around $500. Dubbed BitBoy One, this console will be taking preorders by mid-April. Set at a price point ten times the cost of its competitors, the BitBoy One offers distinctive features such as the ability to play retro-style play-to-earn games on Bitcoin and serves as a wallet for Bitcoin earnings – something its competitors cannot do. NFT collection, Doodles, has recently announced an upcoming animated film, "Dullsville and The Doodleverse," featuring rappers Lil Wayne and Coi Leray as voice characters. This storytelling experience promises a blend of music, live events, partnerships, merchandise and NFTs, culminating in a premiere show at the Toronto International Film Festival in September. Lastly, data from CryptoSlam! indicates a decrease in NFT sales volumes across all blockchains, marking the fifth consecutive week of a decline. As of April 8, Ethereum NFT sales saw a significant slump, with 30-day figures falling almost 48% to $363.3 million. Within the past week, Bitcoin-based NFTs experienced a volume increase of over 24% at $97.7 million, making it the only blockchain in the top five to witness a weekly gain.
