Avail Forges Strategic Partnerships with Layer-2 Networks for Scalable Blockchain Unification

Algoine News
Summary:
Avail, a blockchain solution aimed at Web3 unification, has formed strategic collaborations with five notable layer-2 networks, including Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare, and zkSync. The aim is to increase scalable data availability and rollup consolidation, permitting more versatile, cost-effective blockchains that can serve millions of users. Limited data availability is identified as a significant barrier to mainstream adoption of blockchain technology. The partnership reflects Avail's ambition to provide a platform that accommodates major rollup protocols.
Avail, a blockchain technology geared towards integrating Web3, has broadcasted the initiation of tactical alliances with five renowned layer-2 networks. This partnership aims to enhance scalable data availability and rollup consolidation. On April 25, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, StarkWare, and zkSync were unveiled as Avail's newest associates that will utilize its data availability layer and consolidation structure. The partnership's objective is to provide scalable, cost-effective, and composable chains capable of accommodating millions of users, achievable through Avail's data availability layer. This layer's function includes serving as the alignment's foundation through mathematically provable data availability and an embedded validator community. Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs stressed the significance of a robust data availability layer for an improved developer experience. One of the significant roadblocks to mainstream adoption in the blockchain industry is limited data availability, which also impedes network optimization for mass usage. Consequently, without adequate data availability, scalability becomes problematic. The statement reveals that Avail functions using a "non-biased base layer" capable of supporting any blockchain. Eli Ben-Sasson, StarkWare's CEO, indicated integrated Web3 and optimized data solutions as vital components for delivering a "seamless user experience for everyone." Over the last year, the concept of reducing developer friction to facilitate blockchain application's mass adoption has been widely aired. This issue is particularly challenging for networks aspiring to grow. During the ETHGlobal conference in March, co-founder of Avail, Anurag Arjun, spoke to Cointelegraph about the importance of infrastructural unity among rollups in the ecosystem. As he stated in March, their goal is to ultimately serve as a platform that is rollup-neutral, catering to major rollup protocols, including StarkWare, zkSync, Arbitrum, and Optimism. Thus, this latest announcement represents progress in achieving this goal. This announcement came on the heels of a recent Avail announcement that it will airdrop 600 million of its proprietary AVAIL tokens to users on April 18. The magazine included an article discussing seven alternative methods for blockchain fundraising, which comprise Crypto airdrops, IDOs, and more.
