According to him, 'scaredofboobs', a pseudonym used on platform X is allegedly 'NFT Machine', a known fraudster.
Previously, 'NFT Machine' operated an X account, earlier on Twitter, being the founder of OpenFT, a project focusing on a decentralized marketplace. However, this account was deactivated by X due to regulation infringements. As reported in a February 2022 thread by crypto investor Shual, Tyler Gaye, a documented U.S citizen, administered the 'NFT Machine' account. A LocalToday news piece from Colorado region too confirmed Gaye and 'NFT Machine' being the same individual, positioning Gaye as a Denver resident. The investors, supposedly, appointed a private detective leading to the discovery of Gaye's home address and went on to file a legal suit, demanding a refund along with punitive damages. Gaye didn't appear in court resulting in a default judgment against him. He was also directed to repay the $55,000 to investors, alongside an equivalent amount as damages and additional punitive damages worth $165,000, summing up to a total of $275,000 as per the report.
The user 'scaredofboobs', known on X for posting open-source coding linked to Solana smart contract development, also developed Gamegear, which is an online platform offering classic games like Mega Man, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Dig Dug, among others.
ZachXBT in his December 18 post alleged that Tyler Gaye is operating with the pseudonym 'scaredofboobs' on X. He also dismissed claims made by Gaye that he has settled the investors as per court orders. In fact, ZachXBT indicates that Gaye is persistently developing new cryptocurrency ventures, citing ArcadeDAO as an illustration, a retro gaming project.
During a search, Cointelegaph didn't come across any instances of 'scaredofboobs' being used for expressly promoting any crypto investments but discovered several references to open-source projects based on Solana.
Further, ZachXBT's research published in August indicated that in the preceding four months $13 million worth of cryptocurrency had been robbed in SIM-swap scams. On December 24, ZachXBT deactivated his X account which prompted scammers to create imposter accounts in his name. His account is active again but has been dormant since December 18. His post revealing 'scaredofboobs' identity on December 28 was made on Telegram and wasn't concurrently published on X.
