Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) Launches As a Global Problem Solver

Algoine News
Summary:
The Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA), a collaborative network aiming to use blockchain technology to address global issues, has officially launched at the Blockchain Life Dubai event. Its partners include several notable blockchain-based organizations and universities. It aims to foster networking and provide resources, aiming at mass adoption of blockchain technology for beneficial initiatives. The BGA operates as a non-profit, intending to mitigate typical concerns connected with tech-based philanthropy. The alliance is expected to bring about significant transformations and develop a more inclusive financial system.
The Blockchain for Good Alliance (BGA) unveiled its official initiation on April 15, during the Blockchain Life Dubai event. Identifying itself as an alliance of organizations, individuals, and projects focused on harnessing blockchain technology to address global social, economic, and environmental issues, BGA has formed partnerships with various blockchain-centric entities. These consist of Bybit Web3, Solana Foundation, Aptos, Moledao, Harvard Blockchain Club, ICP.Hub UAE, American University of Sharjah (AUS), Coineasy, Libera, Edu3Labs, Alchemy Pay, Bu Zhi DAO, and XueDAO. As an incubator for blockchain technology, the newly established organization intends to offer networking possibilities, linking creators with mentors, resources, and events. Abbie, a representative from the Harvard Blockchain Club, expressed her excitement about joining the BGA and emphasized their goal to stimulate innovation and team effort within the academic community by exploring and supporting various university and BGA initiatives. Moledao, a blockchain social platform and a BGA ally, depicted the alliance as a route towards widespread acceptance in a YouTube video shared on April 14. Recent research performed by Italian scholar Silvia Semenzin at the Complutense University of Madrid's GRASIA Research Group, showed that many "do good" initiatives using blockchain technology are primarily profit-driven or broadly oblivious of the disparate financial situations of different classes. As a non-profit, the Blockchain for Good Alliance seeks to alleviate these common apprehensions linked with technologically-based philanthropic activities. The President of Solana Foundation, Lily Liu, regarded this partnership as an enhancement to their dedication to utilizing blockchain for the global good. She assured that the alliance would bring significant transformations through the combined efforts of the partners. She further noted that their technology enables accessible international remittances and innovative financial products, thereby making Solana a key entity in developing a more inclusive financial ecosystem.
